TietoEnator was created in 1999 when the Finnish based company Tieto and the Swedish based company Enator merged. With 13,000 employees and annual net sales of EUR 1.3 billion, TietoEnator is a leading supplier of high-value-added IT services in Europe. The Group operates in more than 20 countries; in addition to Europe also in USA, China and Malaysia. The Group's services are based on a combination of deep industry-specific expertise and the latest information technology within a handful of chosen sectors; Banking & Finance, Telecom & Media, the Public Sector and also Production and Logistics where the company carries responsibility for the digital forest and energy chain. In Malaysia TietoEnator works in the oil&gas sector and provides the companies in the Asia-Pacific region with configuration and implementation of its product called Energy Components. The Energy Components product suite has been implemented to provide a complete functional coverage from "reservoir to sales". As a consequence, the product line currently consists of 5 products:
EC Production - covers functionality required by upstream organisation for production allocation and reporting
EC Transport - covers functionality employed when transporting (re- delievery) of hydrocarbons eighter through pipeline systems or by vessels. Covers also gas plants and processing facilities (re- )delievering hydrocarbons.
EC Sales - covers functionally to support the sales organisationin selling/trading hydrocarbons including managing complex gas sales contracts.
EC Revenue - covers the invoicing/billing and control fo any data relevant for revenue recognition and includes a two-way interface with financial accounting systems.
PTS (Personal Tracking System) covers personnel transportation & POB management.
